Located on the junction of Hutai Road and Outer Ring Road, Shanghai Baoshan International Folk Art Museum is a non-profit public cultural institution with functions of collection, exhibition, exchange, research and social service. It is dedicated to exhibition and exchange of home and overseas folk art, carrying out pluralistic cultural activities, and become a window of Baoshan, an intangible culture protection and research center of Shanghai and a large art center of Shanghai Baoshan International Folk Art Festival by integrating Shanghai Baoshan International Folk Art Festival. The museum's concept of design was taken from the folk cultural image of "Chinese knot" and it has become one of symbolic buildings of Baoshan.
